Please use public transport when you come to Ninnaji during the cherry blossom season. Ninnaji Temple is a registered World Heritage Site and has been designated as an important cultural area by Kyoto City. Please be careful not to park on the streets around the temple and not to litter.

    Ryoan-ji Temple
    Kinkaku-ji is a Zen temple famous for its karesansui rock garden. Ninnaji and Ryoan-ji are connected by a scenic route called Kinukake no Michi. The temple is also close from Arashiyma, so many tourists visit it every day.

    Kinkaku-ji Temple
    The golden pavilion of Kinkaku-ji Temple that stands by the pond is all too famous. The pavilion is at its most beautiful when it is surrounded by autumn leaves, but the serene winter scenery is also something everyone has to see at least once in their life.

    Bamboo Grove (Arashiyama)
    The Bamboo Grove in Arashiyama is on the northern side of the Togetsu-kyo Bridge. The Bamboo Grove is a really popular tourist destination, but how about taking a rickshaw to it? Remember that you can also see it at night during the Arashiyama winter illumination event.

    Nijo Castle
    This castle is right in the middle of Kyoto, and there are a great number of majestic historic buildings on its premises. Every year in spring when the cherry and plum trees of the castle bloom, there is an illumination event at night held at the castle and many people join these festivities.
